Journey Inwards

The Story of Four Seasons Yoga, La Jolla

On Saturday, March 14, 2005 when the doors opened to Four Seasons Yoga, Sean O'Shea and his Friends, Sean and Amy Thompson were frantically painting baseboards awed at the large group of people forming a line at the door of the studio. Sean O'Shea wanted to touch as many people's lives as he could by teaching and sharing Yoga. Since his passing in December of 2006, Sean O'Shea's, legacy continues through the work of the Sean O'Shea Foundation. For more information visit the Sean O'Shea Foundation.

Jenny Barrett and James Bouwer, the new owners of Four Seasons Yoga, are proud to carry on the dream invisioned by Sean. Jenny was introduced to yoga during college and she immediately connected to Yoga’s healing benefits. After ten years of practice, she was excited to teach and share Yoga with others. Jenny believes everyone can use some Yoga in his or her life!

Jenny and James became the excited and proud new owners of the studio in February 2008. We have always dreamed of having a sacred place for people to experience healing through light, love and cultivation of the awareness of breath. Our intention is building on a community that has been growing since Sean O’Shea planted the seed in 2005 when he opened the studio. Both on and off the mat, we invite all of you to join us.
