Class Descriptions:

Ashtanga Yoga 1st Series: Practice the entire first series of Ashtanga Yoga, as taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. For students who have taken Intro to Ashtanga and are ready to try the full 1st series.

Intro to Second Series Ashtanga: Exploration of 1st half of second series with research and prepping poses throughout the class, preparing the student for the next posture.

Ashtanga Vinyasa: This class offers a variety of Ashtanga Yoga postures, and sun salutations.

Vinyasa: This class offers a variety of Yoga postures, and sun salutations. With focus and clarity of the awareness of breath and movement (vinyasa), the student will connect with and deepen their own personal practice. Each class will offer fun, rejuvenating postures, strength building postures to energize and carry with you throughout the day.

Slow Flow Vinyasa: This class offers a variety of Yoga postures, and sun salutations performed at a slower pace. This class will focus on alignment, awareness of breath and movement (vinyasa). Each class will offer fun, rejuvenating postures, which build strength, stamina and balance.

Gentle Hatha: A gentle approach for those who wish to practice at a slower pace. Learn restorative techniques and alternative postures ideal for individuals with specific needs.

Hatha: Gentle, calming, and relaxing yoga class that focuses on breath work, meditation, and poses that develop flexibility, strength, balance, and increased concentration. Experience soothing music as you unwind and restore to your natural balance. Great for beginners, intermediates, and advanced yogis.

Intro to Ashtanga Yoga Japanese: Foundations of Ashtanga Yoga philosophy, breathing, and basic postures taught by Japanese yoga instructor Atsuro Chiba.

Lunchtime Restore: This class offers a variety of yoga postures, and time to restore and renew for the rest of the day.

True Beginner: Enjoy this beginner class in a safe and comfortable setting. Benefit from more individual attention as you learn the basic postures and how to utilize them to create optimum health, strength, flexibility, balance, connection to the breath, & calm. Prerequisite: be ready and willing with an open mind to the practice.

Yin Yoga: Yin Yoga is the relaxed practice of floor postures. Using slow deep stretches, we open and stimulate core connective tissue, increasing fluidity, calming the mind and encouraging a sense of joy and well being.

Yoga for Cancer Recovery: This yoga sequence of gentle postures and breathing techniques will help you find renewed strength, flexibility, and a sense of physical and mental balance. You will learn to handle side effects of cancer treatment through movement and meditation practice, get individual attention and adjustments suited for your body, and find relief from stress, anxiety and fatigue in a supported and safe environment.

Rest & Restore Yoga: Using blocks, bolsters, straps and blankets for extra support, asanas will be held for an extended period of time in order to experience all of their wonderful benefits. This class incorporates both standing and seated asanas focusing on alignment, breathwork, philosophy and intention. Expect to leave with a newly quieted, balanced and relaxed body and mind.
