Class Descriptions:

Intro to Ashtanga Yoga: An excellent starting point for beginning Ashtanga students with mild pace connecting breath and movement. Foundations of Ashtanga: sun salutations, basic standing and seated postures, inversions and back bending. Introduction to 8 limbs.

Intro to Ashtanga 2nd Series: An exploration of the first half of the 2nd series.

Ashtanga Yoga 1st Series: Practice the entire first series of Ashtanga Yoga, as taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. For students who have taken Intro to Ashtanga and are ready to try the full 1st series.

Vinyasa: This class offers a variety of Yoga postures, and sun salutations. With focus and clarity of the awareness of breath and movement (vinyasa), the student will connect with and deepen their own personal practice. Each class will offer fun, rejuvenating postures, strength building postures to energize and carry with you throughout the day.

Gentle Hatha: A gentle approach for those who wish to practice at a slower pace. Learn restorative techniques and alternative postures ideal for individuals with specific needs.

Hatha Yoga: A gentle yet challenging class with both strength building and restorative postures including breathing exercises and meditation.

Lunchtime Flow: This class offers a variety of yoga postures, and time to resotre and renew for the rest of the day.

Mysore Class: This traditional style class is not "led" as a whole but rather all instruction is one-on-one within the group class setting. Students practice their own portion of postures at their own pace, while the instructor assists students individually.

Yin Yoga: Yin Yoga is the relaxed practice of floor postures. Using slow deep stretches, we open and stimulate core connective tissue, increasing fluidity, calming the mind and encouraging a sense of joy and well being.

Rest & Restore Yoga: Using blocks, bolsters, straps and blankets for extra support, asanas will be held for an extended period of time in order to experience all of their wonderful benefits. This class incorporates both standing and seated asanas focusing on alignment, breathwork, philosophy and intention. Expect to leave with a newly quieted, balanced and relaxed body and mind.
